How We Use Your Information
All data processing in Mixaura happens locally on your device. Audio files are sent to our analysis server solely to detect BPM and musical key — and are not stored after analysis.
Analysis results are returned to your device and stored locally. No audio content, playlist data, or personal information is retained on our servers.
Section 03
Audio File Processing
When you import an audio file for analysis, it is temporarily transmitted to our secure server, BPM and musical key are extracted, and the file is immediately deleted — typically within seconds.
Our commitments
- We do not store your audio files after analysis
- We do not copy, distribute, or use your audio for any other purpose
- We do not claim any rights to your audio files
- All transmission is encrypted via HTTPS
Section 04
Local Data Storage
Mixaura stores the following data locally on your device using secure on-device storage:
Stored on your device
- Analyzed track metadata (title, BPM, key)
- Saved set configurations
- App preferences and settings
- Language selection
This data never leaves your device except during audio analysis (Section 3) and set sharing (Section 6).
Section 05
Subscriptions & Payments
Mixaura Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment information, credit card details, or billing data.
All subscription management is handled through your Apple ID and App Store settings. Contact Apple Support for billing inquiries.
Section 06
Set Sharing
When you share a set using Mixaura, the exported .mixaura file contains only track metadata — title, artist, BPM, key, order, and transition settings. Audio files are never included.
How sharing works
- Sets are shared directly between users via iOS share sheet
- Mixaura does not operate a server that stores shared sets
- We have no visibility into what sets you share or with whom
- Recipients need Mixaura installed to open .mixaura files
Section 07
Third-Party Services
Mixaura currently integrates with Apple App Store for subscription processing, and our analysis server for BPM and key detection (audio deleted immediately after processing).
Future integrations (Tidal, Beatport) will be governed by their respective privacy policies. We will update this Privacy Policy before any new integration is activated.
Section 08
Children's Privacy
Mixaura is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. Since Mixaura does not collect personal information from any user, this policy applies equally to all age groups.
Section 09
Data Security
Security measures
- All server communication uses HTTPS encryption
- Audio files are transmitted over encrypted connections
- No personal data is stored on our servers
- Local data is protected by iOS device encryption
Section 10
Data Retention
Retention periods
- Audio files — deleted from servers immediately after analysis
- Analysis results — stored locally until you clear app data
- Saved sets — stored locally until you delete them
Section 11
Your Rights
Since Mixaura does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete on our servers.
To delete all locally stored data, delete the Mixaura app from your device. This removes all track metadata, saved sets, and preferences.
Section 12
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Mixaura after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
